Temperature monitoring The SE-E1 opens the relay contact in the control circuit and locks out immediately if the permissible temperatures for motor or discharge gas (optional PTC sensor) are exceeded. Rotation direction monitoring The SE-E1 checks the rotation direction during the first 5 seconds after compressor start. If the compressor is shut off, the rotation direction monitoring is not performed for the first 10 seconds. This prevents the protection device from locking out in case of short-time reverse running.

 Phase failure monitoring
 In case of a phase failure during the first 5 seconds after compressor
 start, the SE-E1 immediately opens the relay contact in
 the control circuit and closes again after 6 minutes. It locks out at:
   • 3 phase failures whitin 18 minutes and
   • 10 phase failures whitin 24 hours
